Hottest Fashion Accessory: An Orphan

Online video games are not known for their taste and restraint. But, a new one called "My Minx," has people upset.

Admittedly, these are the same people who are still not happy that sitcom couples are no longer sleeping in their Donna Reed-esc single beds.

"My Minx," is under fire because the secrets to being "stylish" are things like buying kids and adopting third-world kids. The so-called real-life kids of celebrity parents are singled out by name. As London's Daily Mail reports, in the game, Angelina Jolie's 4-year-old Zahara is said to be Ethiopian and a fan of eating guinea pigs, while Maddox enjoys cockroaches.

Madonna adoption - update

Quick update on Madonna's adoption effort--

According to the BBC, the supposed father of the child Madonna wants to adopt says that he opposes the adoption, saying that the child, Mercy, is Malawian and should be raised Malawian.

This adds one more obstacle in Madonna's effort.  The first obstacle was a ruling that she could not adopt the child due to residency requirements in Malawi.  To adopt in Malawi, the adopting parent must be a resident of Malawi for at least the last 18 months.

Madonna's Adoption Hits a Snag

Just when it was looking good for Madonna, a judge has blocked her effort to adopt a second baby from Malawi, pointing out that she hasn't been a resident of the country for 18 months, a condition required of adults who wish to adopt Malawian children.

But it seems like a problem with a pretty simple solution: live in Malawi for 18 months!  Surely if Madonna can achieve 12 #1 singles in the United States, she can manage to live in a developing country in Africa for 18 months...

Big Families Are In!

Angelina Jolie, Jon & Kate, and Nadya Suleman are not the only people with large families!  Madonna is going to adopt another baby from Malawi.  She has two biological children: Lourdes (born 1996) and Rocco (born 2000), in addition to David Banda (born 2005), the Malawian baby she adopted in 2006.
