Sweet Sweet Miracle of a fruit

You won't believe this, but there is a fruit that will make lemons taste like candy. It's called miracle fruit.
This berry is grown in West Africa. Miracle fruit has a natural protein with sugar molecules that binds to your taste buds. The fruit has been growing in South Florida for decades but recently gained attention from media outlets.

Some doctors are looking at the possibility of giving miracle fruit to cancer patients whose chemo treatments dulled their taste buds. Research is ongoing. It's possible miracle fruit might help people with diabetes.

People, mostly foodies, are throwing flavor tripping parties where you eat a berry followed by very tart foods which in turn are now sweet. You can buy some miracle berries and have you own party.

It all sounds like so much fun. We need some fun right now, but 'miracle fruit.' What a name? Is that too big a burden for one small berry to carry on its invisible shoulders?
